Simon Kjaer(second right) celebrates with his teammates after scoring a late equaliser.

AC Milan scored a vital away goal in the penultimate minute of the injury time to keep alive their hopes of proceeding to the quarter finals of the Europa league.

United had taken the lead through the January signing Amad Diallo, who opened his account of goals five minutes after being introduced on the game, replacing Antony Martial at the break.

Amad heads past Donnarumma to give Man utd the lead.

The Ivorian scored a fabulous header with his back facing the goal, running through Milan’s defence to connect a Bruno Fernandes chip to the back of the net.

Milan had seen two of their goals ruled out by officials, one for offside (Rafael Leao) and another one for handball( a Franck Kessie volley).

Kjaer’s header makes the injury hit AC Milan favourites as they head to Italy to host the 2nd leg of the tie next week.
